Subscribes to this topic Comment RSS or TrackBack URLI never said that the PS3 sucked. I only said that the blue ray player sucked. It’s new technology, it needs time to develop. Sony took a chance and I give them props for exploring blue-ray, one day it’ll be great, but for now it needs improvement.
The Ps3 on the other hand is good from what I’ve seen. The only problem for why I don’t have one is because I already owned a 360 first and for $360 (System+Game, ironic yes) I could get 6 360 titles. Drakes fortune looks amazing but for $360, no.
I don’t think you have to junk your dvds for blu-ray. I believe that you can watch a regular dvd on a blu-ray player and it even comes out a little better. I could be wrong though since I don’t own a blu-ray player though but that’s what I’ve heard.

Fuck PS3 and xbox. A PC with blue ray technology is far superior and gaming is better.
@SpecterVonBaren Iv had my xbox for 5 years. It got red ring of death about a year and a half back. I sent it off to xbox for $150 it came back better then ever and with a year warranty on it.

it seems really odd that they would change controls between different types of DVDs (Blu-ray vs. normal). Do HD DVDs have different controls? (that would drive anyone nuts I think!)
my ps3 plays ps2 games 
ps3 is a multimedia console, AND a gaming console, tho, it is logically the best console 2 date, BUT the Xbox 360 clearly have the majority of the better games, and better online muliplayer interface. personally, i dont need all the stuff the ps3 can do, so I saved my money on the 360. the only problem is that with the 360 you have to BUY ALL the accesory, which comes out of the box with the PS3… kidna sucks, but for better games, its clearly worth it in my book.

If you enjoy playing games and playing with your friends with your games then the 360 is for you. If you don’t play games that much or just a fan of some other obscure game series then the PS3 is for you. If you just want to become thin or want family friendly games then the WII is for you. Bottom line: The 360 is best for games and online play and the PS3 is best for movies and the WII is for familys or fat kids.
Is that European release Collector’s Edition? Back when I pre-ordered the game I couldn’t find anything about a collector’s edition. So I just got the standard.
Its good to get all the systems that are available, that way when a new games come out you can figure out which system it will look best on and get it for that system.

movies like “the prestide” and “a beautiful mind” are better off just on dvd

It was easily worth $400 more then the 360. ive wasted much more money after my 360 died 2 times. I still have my PS3 from launch day.

You people amaze me when I hear people complain about the price. It is a bargain if you think about all the shit it does.
But I guess you would rather buy a red ring, that plays only Halo, oh and HD-DVD’s. Wait, actually you have to buy a separate player for that. Separate HD. You have to buy a subscription if you ever decide to take Halo online. You can never browse the internet. Assuming your red ring doesn’t show up already…..
PS3 is for casual gamers. Xbox360 and Wii is where it’s at.
